REVIEW: Honeycat Cosmetics frisky kitty bath time fizzy

Ever since I was little, I've loved baths. I'd rather soak in a hot bath than take a quick shower any day. Being a bath lover, I obviously became quickly obsessed with Lush. Their bath bombs are my absoulute favorite. Sooo, that being said, I'm ALWAYS looking for other fun alternatives. This bath fizzy has got to me one of my favorites. Turn the water on, toss it in, and wash away last nights dirty little secrets!

PROS: Yummy smell. LARGE product. Insanely adorable packaging. Moisturizing. NEVER tested on animals; especially sexy felines.

CONS: Slick/oily tub. Little to no lasting color in the water.

PRICE: You can pick this up for $10.00 at the Honeycat website. Aside from the one (Lilac & Honey) that I have, they have three different kinds; Oatmeal, Cocoa butter, and Rose & Lemongrass.

PACKAGING: As with the other Honeycat products, this packaging is adorable. The fizzy comes in a big pink box -- kitty themed (sexy kitty + paw prints) of course. You'll find the name (Frisky Kitty Bath Time Fizzy), scent (Lilac & Honey), ingrediants and other misc. (price, barecode) things all over the box. Inside the box, the fizzy is wrapped in paw print covered plastic celepahin.

PRODUCT: Today was an icky day, so I figured what batter time to test this out? I filled my tub a it, and tossed this big boy in! It swirled around and did it's thing under (unlike Lush, it actually stayed under the stream of water) the faucet. The first thing I noticed was the lack of color in my water - at first, my water was a light pink color, but by the time I got in, it had pretty much faded. No biggie, though! The smell hit me next, and it was yummy! I defiantly smelled the lilac, and a slight floral undertone. I noticed right away how oily my water was, and it made me a bit nervous. I hopped in the tub, anyway. The oil felt a little odd against my skin at first, but it actually became really nice and moisturizing. When I got out, and dried off, my skin was left feeling soft without being oily like I thought it'd be! The oil did, however, stay in my tub. When the water drained, a thin, slick film was left over. BE CAREFUL, this could be a slip hazard if you don't wash it away. The smell lasted on my skin for a good couple of hours! I was very surprised at how much I loved this fizzy, and cant wait to purchase the other scents!

REVIEW: Honeycat Cosmetics warming cinnamon lip balm.

I've said it once, and I'll say it again -- I LOVE lip balms. I have so many (I'm hitting Pinkiecharm status, LOL) right now. I cannot resist them, especially when they combine all of the qualities that I love. If you share my love for lip balm, check out their site, & my review below!

Pros: Yummy smell. Awesome taste. Adorable packaging. Moisturizing. Great for sensitive lips. All natural. NEVER tested on animals; especially sexy felines.

Cons: The only and only con I found was the lid doesn't stay on tight at all times. BUT, that very well could have just been a a packaging flaw on the one that I, myself, received.

$$$: You can purchase this (and many other products) on their website for $6.00. Even if you don't purchase anything (you should!!), check out the companies website. Its insanely adorable & I spent a good 15 minutes rolling my mouse over the meowing links.

PACKAGING: A-freaking-dorable. The outside packaging has their sexy feline-girl, and trailing paw prints. The product (Whisker slickers), and name (I'm in heat warming cinnamon lip balm) also appear on the front. On the back you'll find the norm (company information, ingredients, price, and barcode) along with a sexy pair of lips! The actual tube of balm is equally adorable. Pink, Honeycat logo, product name, and the sexy kittie lady!

PRODUCT: I was a little weary of this at first. I have semi sensative lips, and warming or plumping stuff irritates them 9 times out of 10. This didn't, though. You really wouldn't even know it was cinnamon if it wasn't for the amazing taste (yes taste!) and smell. The first thing that I noticed about this balm was how moisturizing it was. It goes on so smoothly, and feels really nice on. I had this on my lips for a good 4 hours before I felt like I needed to re-apply. Unlike other balms and chapsticks, I didn't feel the drying effect, or need to re-apply almost right away. I'm sure it doesn't hurt that none of Honeycat products contain preservatives, dyes, or any of that other icky crap!

COMPANY, SHIPPING, & CUSTOMER SERVICE: When owner Theresa Spruill created Honeycat Cosmetics, she did it all based around our furry kitty friends. Did you know that in ancient times, it was believed a parasite living on cats could infect females, leaving them super sexy, among other things? Either way, amazing customer service, and insanely fast shipping! All of the above just wraps this company up as awesome!

OVERALL: Ten out of ten stars. Goodbye Chapstick, hello Honeycat!

REVIEW: Vermont Bee Balm Co. original bee balm

If you've read my Burts Bees beeswax and banana hand creme review, then you'll know I'm always looking for a good hand cream. It gets COLD here during the winters. My skin + the cold weather DO NOT AGREE with each other. My hands, ellbows, and ankles get horribly dry and cracked. When I came across this company, & read about them, I knew I HAD to try their products.

PRICE: On the Vermont Bee Balm website , you can purchase a 2oz. tin of this for $6.50. C'mon, people, that's less than $10.00 for a LOT of product.

PACKAGING: Adorable. Bottom line. This balm comes in a metal tin -- the tin is REALLY good quality, not cheap and thin like some tin packaging. The only concern I have with the tin is the fact that the lid slips off relatively easily. The front houses a yellow sticker. On the sticker you'll find the company name, product name, and product size (2oz). Below the graphic (two bees on a flower) they've placed the words "Never Stings!" and "Soothing balm for dry, cracked hands." The back is the norm -- another yellow sticker with the ingredients, directions, company information, etc.

PRODUCT: The remedy for this product has been used for YEARS by farmers. It can heal cracked fingers, minor burns, abrasions, and chapped & chafed skin. The product calls for daily use -- I'm assuming after it heals your skin, it will protect it, as well. I'm am idiot, and I was just rubbing my finger on the top of the product (which is solid), wondering why I wasn't getting any! But, after reading the back, the directions say to draw your thumbnail backward over the top and rub the resulting cream into your skin. DUH, guess I should have read the directions first. After doing what the directions call for, I rubbed the product into my hands, and WOW. Let me just say; I don't have overly cracked, or damaged skin, but my hands ARE dry because of the cold weather. I noticed a significant change it the way my hands felt after ONE use. I noticed an even bigger change when I used it a second time. I do have to say that at first, it's a little hard to rub in, but it seems like after it warms (from the rubbing) it rubs in with little to no work. Right away, it's very moisturizing, without being oily or greasy. It defiantly let my hands feeling softer, and smelling awesome. I plan to continue use and see what happens, but so far, I love it. If you've read my other reviews, you'll see I reviewed a similar product (the beeswax and bananas hand creme) by Burts Bees -- I can honestly say this product is ten times better than the Burts Bees, for a fraction of the price!

REVIEW: Burts Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Creme.

Im always working with my hands -- weather it be washing dishes, writing, or even texting. That, coupled with the air this time of year, results in very day and harsh hands. The Husband doesn't like his back rubs when my hands feel like this, so I'm always on the search for a good hand creme. I've tried many, and am still on the hunt for that "perfect" one. Most recently, my search yielded the following.

PRICE: The price of this is obviously going to vary depending on where you purchase it. I have found it between $6.00, and $11.00 at various drug stores. On the Burt's Bees website, you're going to pay $9.00 for a 2oz jar. If you're like me, and want to try more than one Burts Bees product, you can purchase one of their sets! I received a .25oz jar of this in a kit priced at $14.99.

PACKAGING: It's simple, and it's cute. A glass jar (on both the mini and full sized jars), with a heavy duty metal lid. The top of the lid is home to the famous "Burts Bees" name, in red font. "Beeswax & banana" is next, in black font. Directly followed by "hand creme" in the same red font as the name. The lid is also graced with a cute banana, and some buzzing bumble bees! The jar of the mini/sample size is plain, with no label or wording. The full size, however, is a bit different. Its very similar to the lid, sans banana. The back also gives you a list of ingredients, as well as directions of use.

PRODUCT: I'm not gonna lie, I'm not totally in love with this product. Directions state to use this on freshly washed hands, using after every hand washing. I have done this, and found the product to be very harsh, in the sense that instead of making my hands soft and smooth, it made my hands dry, giving them very little give when I rubbed them together. I've found that I enjoy the product much more randomly throughout the day, when my hands are not just washed. This stuff, though, smells AMAZING. It has that familiar beeswax/natural smell, mixed in with a huge dose of banana.

OVERALL: Four out of ten stars. I'm only giving it four for the smell, and packaging. I wouldn't purchase this product in a full size jar.
